Amy over at write-from-home tagged me for this favorite quote’s meme.
Her is how this works, share a your favotite quote and dedicate to three others who in turn do the same.
Here is mine from the Late President John F.Kennedy from his inaugural speech. …”Ask not what your country can do for,Ask what you can do for your country”… now I’m tagging the following : 1)J.D. @ http://jdssoapbox.blogspot.com/
2)Prfofessor J@ http://professorjsplace.blogspot.com/
3) Grandy@ http://functionalshmunctional.blogspot.com/
What is your favorite quote literary or otherwise? I would really like to know, thanks for being such good sports.
You know how much I love quotes (since they\’re collected in my sidebar of each blog and I try to include at least one in every post) … so I think this is a good idea, but I\’d have trouble choosing just one, so thanks for not tagging me.Hugs and blessings,
No Problem,I had a couple in mind as well, but finally settled on our late President as a tribute to him.
I don\’t have a particular favorite quote, but one that inspires me is from Dr King\’s I have a dream speech…\”I have a dream that someday my children will not be judged by the color of their skin but, by the content of their character.\”Who a person is, and what a person does, is more important to me than what he looks like.
Travis I cannot agree with you more.My late Father taught me this as well.He said it is what that is in someone\’s heart that matters nor the outer covering of the person.
Mike,That is a great quote. It is one of my favorite quotes along with the Dr King\’s \”I have a dream\” quote that Travis just left. There are so many meaningful quotes, it is hard to choose just one. One that I like that seems funny but actually has a great lesson is from Buster Keaton,\”We don\’t always see eye to eye, but then we don\’t hear ear to ear, either.\”Tina
Better late than never. Thanks so much for thinking of me, Mike.I\’ll have to get my quote up soon. 🙂
Grandy, when you have you have it.I just like to do some of the memes, especially if it does not tax my brain too much.
It\’s there Mike. Thanks for thinking of me!
