Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (who no longer blogs and May He Rest In Peace), and i’m going to believe it’s because he likes cats.
Friday June 28 started out as any other day,I woke up at 8 am (Eastern Time)got dressed than I came downstairs grabbed breakfast, that tried to turn on my Iphone XR and it would not turn on took it to an APPLE store. They ran a dianostic test and said the battery is bad,and since the phone was 4.5 years old it was not worth the cost of replaceing the battery the phone was too old. than charge me a fee of $80 for the dianostic tests.said that I can get a new Iphone 16E for a $1,000 ,I said no.called Consumer Cellular (my cell carrier) got the same phone for $600 I financed the phone.so meet the new guy! Got him yeaterday!
Wordless Wednesday (WW) is a visual blogosphere phenomenon.Today I’m in one of those moods when remembering my past is a good thing,Long ago on August 8,1971 I took my oath of enlistment. and went to Lacklan AFB for basic training. I was thinking of all the USAF Bases I have been to via TDY’s (Tempory Duty Assignments) most have been shut down by the USAF (Pease AFB Chanute AFB Castle AFB) and or The Host countries that I have been in like The Philippines (Clark Air Base), Like Tiawan (CCK Air Base) and Thailand (2 bases Udorn and Utapao air bases) there are patches for them and of course the one base that is still open Lackland AFB.and there was another Airforce base in the Sacramento area Mather AFB and McClellan AFB (the base where I was assigned to the 2951st Combat level support squadron) and one other base in the Sacramento are that was an Army depot base. I took a years Early Out because there was an overage in my field and rank (Aircraft Electrician and SGT E-4) I was on a controlled tour of duty (4 Years) so I could not cross train and stay in the USAF so on August 08,1974 3 years to the day of my enlistment I processed out of the USAF. I am very Proud of my time in the USAF,because I was able to Honor my Dad’s service to our country in the Army Air Force when He enlisted in 1946 and the USAF when he got out in 1949.

Wordless Wednesday (WW) is a visual blogosphere phenomenon.a nod to my Facebook Navy submarine friends that served on one of the submarines. the 41 For Freedom were Fleet Balistic Missile Submarines of 5 different Classes of Submarines of the U.S. Navy. Those Submarines were The George Washington
The Ethan Allen Class
The Lafayette class
The James Madison Class
and The Benjamin Franklin Class
Pictured are the people the Boats are named for. click on the different class to see the list of the People for who the individual subs are named for.
