Sunday September the third I was feeling off and used my life alert and by the time EMS got here I had passed out. The EMS guy said it took over 20 seconds to get you to wake up. You are going to the MetroHeath main campus E/R. That’s when it got interesting and I was told that they were admitting me for observation. Monday the 4th I got an Echocardigram it showed that my Aortic heart valve was bad and I needed a new one but first I had to get blood work done and a C.T. scan of my chest, abdomen and pelvis area. Next up was a Heart Catheterization that showed how bad the Aortic Heart Valve was working. Then I had a consultation where the procedure was to be done. That was Called TAVR it is a less invasive procedure versus open heart surgery. I was supposed to have it done the 14th Of October but had to be delayed a week until Tuesday the 21st. On Sunday the 20th I did not feel right and used my Life Alert button again and again I passed out. My next Door neighbor is on my emergency call list and she had keys for the front door. She let herself in but I was out so I did not hear her come in and the next thing I know was when and the EMS guys were talking and she said I had been out at least three minutes. Again I was taken to MetroHeath main campus E/R.(Metro has E/R’s in different locations). The Main Campus is the closest to me. This time I was told that I was being admitted for observation until they could get the surgery done.
So I have been taking it easy since the surgery. I am only allowed to lift nothing more than 10 LBS and that’s a Gallon of Milk by the way.

Bellefontaine may be a small Ohio town, but it has BIG claims to fame, and an even bigger, prouder community of residents celebrating its legacy!

adulting is difficult especially when you have a malfunctioning heart valve like I do. tomarrow (the 16th) I’m getting a Heart Catheterization at The main campus of MetroHealth Hospital, they need to see if the can do my Aoertic heart valve replace the less invasive way called TAVR (OR TAVI in some places) or the more invasive method Open heart Surgery, they are also checking some blood vessels to see if they have to put in any stents. If they need to that they will right there right than and I get to stay in the hospital for a few days.
