I just keep tacking on the days since my last relasp.I wish I had not shitcanned my 37 years 1 month and 15 days on 02/01/2022,and again I had to do a rest of the counter on 12/17/2023.my very first soberiety date was 10/20/1971 I was in the USAF excelling in my Tech School training and excelling in the pratice of alcohol consumption. Because of my antics when drunk I was told that A)I was in danger of being thrown out of the USAF because of my drinking. and B)That I need to go to the base chappel that I had an appointment with the lutheran Chaplin,when I arrived I was told to have a seat and the Chaplin would be with me shortly and was handed a reprinted copy of the frist edition of the Big Book the note said read the first 20 pages ASAP.The Chaplin said come in Airman Golch after we had a good conversation he said well it’s time fa a meeting let’s go,he became my first Sponsor I am currently at 435 days sober. Yes I am a Real Alcoholic, got them on both sides of the Family. I am Greatful that neither one of my sisters are,they are Normies (People who can stop at one drink and not even finish the drink they had.
