22 A Day

Today is the 22nd day of the month. As a veteran I call this Battle Buddy Day. The 22 represents the suicide rate per day for veterans. A Battle Buddy is someone you can count on no matter what. Do you have a Battle Buddy, or is that you? Call, text, visit get in touch with someone who may need a Battle Buddy. Ask them how they are doing, do they have everything they need, do they want to talk. Then listen to them. It means more to them than you will ever know. Sometimes just knowing someone else is there is enough to get through the day.
