Mari,the dumb part is that the cars were still being made out of real steel.and could survive a crash a heck of a lot better than cars now a days.I had a '60 Dodge in 1975 that was rear ended and the main damange was a bent drivers side tail light and the rear left side of the bumper was pushed in slightly.The car that hit our car was a 74 Oldsmobile and that car was totaled!
