Join us every Monday for Awww…Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww…and that’s it.Sorry I have bee A.W.O.L. but for the past month things have been interesting. Sunday September the third I was feeling off and used my life alert and by the time EMS got here I had passed out. The EMS guy said it took over 20 seconds to get you to wake up. You are going to the MetroHeath main campus E/R. That’s when it got interesting and I was told that they were admitting me for observation. Monday the 4th I got an Echocardigram it showed that my Aortic heart valve was bad and I needed a new one but first I had to get blood work done and a C.T. scan of my chest, abdomen and pelvis area. Next up was a Heart Catheterization that showed how bad the Aortic Heart Valve was working. Then I had a consultation where the procedure was to be done. That was Called TAVR it is a less invasive procedure versus open heart surgery. I was supposed to have it done the 14th Of October but had to be delayed a week until Tuesday the 21st. On Sunday the 20th I did not feel right and used my Life Alert button again and again I passed out. My next Door neighbor is on my emergency call list and she had keys for the front door. She let herself in but I was out so I did not hear her come in and the next thing I know was when and the EMS guys were talking and she said I had been out at least three minutes. Again I was taken to MetroHeath main campus E/R.(Metro has E/R’s in different locations). The Main Campus is the closest to me. This time I was told that I was being admitted for observation until they could get the surgery done.
So I have been taking it easy since the surgery. I am only allowed to lift nothing more than 10 LBS and that’s a Gallon of Milk by the way.
Take care of yourself, Mike and don’t do anything you’re not supposed to. You’ll feel so much better after you heal up. Prayers for you my friend.

I’ve been praying and wondering if you had the procedure, I’m glad they did and hope you recover quickly and fully.
messymimi’s meanderings, sunday the 19th I did not feel right and used my life alert button, and than passed out.my neighbor has keys to the front door she let hereself in and found me out.she haas medical backround and was trint to wake me up butr I did not Cleveland Ems and Fire respond to all medical emergencies they finally got me to wake up,and said you need to go to the hospital E/R I was in my computer chair when I passed out they would not even allow me to walk to the front door they wheeled me to the door in my chair. at the E/R I was tols that they are admitting me for observation until they can do the surgery on tuesday the 21st. and since it was the les invasive surgery I was sent home on Wednesday. now let the real healing begin.
