In October of 1971 I first admitted that I was an alcoholic,I went to the chaplins office on base seeking help, and found the right one. he was in the program as well. when I told him I had a drinking problem,he said Son you are not alone, welcome to my world.and we talked about A.A. he also became my first sponsor.
FAST FORWARD TO AUGUST 13,2020. CELESTINE HAD A SUPERLOW BLOOD SUGAR AND PASSED OUT. 911 WAS CALLED,CLEVELAND EMS CAME ADMINSTERED AN INJECTION OF SOMETHING CALLED B-52 IT BOOSTED HER BLOOD SUGAR WITH IN A MINUITE AFTER BEING INJECTED. THEY ASKED DID SHE WANT TO GO TO THE E/R SHE SAID NO.
LATER THAT DAY SHE PASSED OUT AGAIN. AND AGAIN I HAD TO CALL 911. THIS TIME WHEN THEY CAME AND GOT HER ALERT AGAIN THEY SAID SHE WAS GOING TO THE E/R BECAUSE THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THEY WERE HER FOR YOU TODAY. IN WAS THE SAME CREW THAT CAME EARIER THAT DAY.
THAT WAS THE VERY LAST TIME CELESTINE WAS EVER HOME.
I CANNOT BELIEVE 4 YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE THAT HORRIBLE DAY,IT STARTED A DOWNWARD SPIRAL THAT ENDED OCTOBER 16 SOMETIME BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 1:30 AM WHEN HER CAREGIVES AT THE HOSPICE OF WESTERN RESERVE WESTLAKE CAMPUS FOUND THAT SHE HAD DIED. IT STILL HAUNTS ME, IT STILL HURTS LIKE HELL I AM GOING TO TAKE MY NIGHTIME MEDS AND GO CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP DEARST DARLING GOD I MISS YOU!!!
THANK YOU FOR THE COURAGE TO BE ME!!

Celestine was beautiful. I am sorry she passed away so young. XO
Celestine made it to 65 when she passed away in 2020. When she was diagnosed the doctor said if you make it to 40 you will be doing something, thanks to advancements in treating Diabetes she was able to make it to 65. her 65th Bitrhday was in july. but things were starting to go wrong for her when she was 64 her eyesight was starting to go bad. and August 13 was just a Warning that other systems were in the beggings of shutting down. Friday morning between Midnight and 1:30 AM on October 16 2020 she went home. I was glad that she was no longer suffering. But it did hurt to lose my best friend/my Girlfriend/my roomemate/my lover/MY WIFE and it still hurts especially when a memory slips from my eyes and runs down mt cheeks.
I loved her too, Mike. Big healing hugs. Scritches to Screwball. ♥
Sandee,Thanks she loved when you guys talked on the phone. she said you have a special friend in Sandee,I said i was lucky to bump into her in the Land Of Blog,we both smile and agreed that you are a treasure.
I’m very sorry Mike. It’s so darn tough to lose a love like that and you were blessed to have each other.
The Brian’s Home Gang, yes it is. I am forever greatful for the 40 and a half years we had. In many ways she was a female version of all that was good in me our sence of humor matched we even thought alike. It was a Fun Ride.
My heart aches for you, you are in my heart today and I’m praying for you daily, don’t forget that.
messymimi’s meanderings.I know you are. she was the biggest fun part of my life we did so many fun things especially when we had that Ford F-250 supercab camper special with a 9 and a half foot cab over camper.we saw a lot of interesting part of ohio with it several trips to Kentucky as well. One such trip was a Family ( MY Side) get together we stayed 4 days parked on a grassy part of the property with other R/V of different family member. our was the second smallest.I wish I had taken a picture of all the other ones there.
