Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (who no longer blogs), and i’m going to believe it’s because he likes cats.

By the way, may i suggest using only unbreakable ornaments next Christmas on the actual tree, put the nice ones you don’t want broken in a display case or something he can’t get to. Animals just don’t understand why they can’t play with the fun toys.
