This time I did nothing wrong, I swear!!! Posted on my Facebook page: For those who have wondered where I have been THIS computer got infected with something on SUNDAY AT 3:30 PM. I got a popup display saying to restart the computer for updates, that’s when the fun started!
MY COMPUTER DID NOT RESTART PROPERLY INSTEAD IT WENT INTO A CYCLE OF SYSTEM RESTORE THAT DID NOT RESTORE PROPERLY! ALL IT WOULD DO WAS WAS PARTIALLY RESTORE THAN DISPLAY A MESSAGE THAT SAID SYSTEM RESTORE WAS NOT COMPLETE! THIS WENT ON FOR 4 HOURS WHEN I GAVE UP FORCED THE COMPUTER TO SHUT DOWN.
YESTERDAY I CALLED OFFICE DEPOT/MAX TOLD THE THE PROBLEM THEY SAID BRING IT IN THEY WILL CHECK IT FOR FREE BUT I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A SERVICE CONTRACT FROM THEM IN ORDER TO REPAIR THE COMPUTER THE TECH SAID IT WOULD BE CHEAPER THAN PAYING FOR THE COMPUTER TO BE REPAIRED. SO FOR THE COST OF $130.00 I HAVE A YEAR OF TECH SUPPORT SO IF ANYTHING ELSE GOES WRONG HELP IS A PHONE CALL AWAY.
I'm sorry this happened to you, Mike. You've had your fair share of awful computer issues. I hope this support serves you well.Have a fabulous day, Mike and Celestine. w-) w-)
Sandee,so for it had,I could have never been able to fix this computer the way they did.:) 🙂 😀 :ZX :-* :-f :-h d-)
Such a mess, I hope the fix stays and the $130 sound like a good deal at this point.
If you lend your brother-in-law $50 and you never see him again, was it worth it? If you give the tech geeks $130 and you never have another moment of trouble with the computer that year (which is what would happen to me!), was it worth it?Hugs.
