Of course, my favorite of the four was the last one. Good thing I had to go to YouTube to listen, because I didn't remember the songs. I heard the Pipes, drums and regimental Band of The Black Watch about 40 years ago, and they played most of the songs that they played here. The first set they do are all the quick marches of the companies of the First Battalion; the second are several slow marches and a couple more quick marches. All of these were excellent, and you reminded me of one I should have remembered: \”The Third Man Theme\” by Anton Karas. Oh well, can't get them all…
That was wonderful! The young man with many ways to play the dulcimer is impressive. While i don't always comment, i have been enjoying all the music you've posted lately.
Mike,I am not surprised that you selected songs using the dulcimer. I like the sound very much but I think I like the German Zither a wee bit more. The bagpipes & drums YT clip wouldn't play on your site but directed me to go to YT which I did. I used bagpipes songs for all my choices this week. Come by to listen when you get a moment. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!
Hi Mike,Excellent song choices for this theme. I love that 1925 German Zither. It's beautiful and \”Let It Be\” sounds fantastic on it.Also loved the hammered dulcimer. And the whole video on YouTube was incredible. Thanks for playing along with my theme. I am having fun with it; hope you are too.Have a great week,Michele at Angels Bark
Welcome to my blog. I post things that I feel must be said. I will post Prayer Requests when I find them. I will try to do my best to be a good blogger and will try to not step on too many toes. May God bless all that visit with me. THE BLOG IS THE SAME ONLY THE NAME WAS CHANGED, TO PROTECT THE SILLINESS! (With a Nod To Dragnet)
