  1. While i'd never heard the Amboy Dukes, i remember the other three. It sounds like you graduated around the same time as my Sweetie, and ten years ahead of me.

  2. messymimi,The Amboy Dukes got a lot of air time on Cleveland radio stations when this tune first came out here in Cleveland I guess because they were a Detroit Band and I could Pick up CKLW a detroit radio station station here in Cleveland. 🙂 :-f :-h d-)

  3. Whoa I haven't heard these in years!!!!!!!!!! Dang, we went to high school in the same years! DUDE… VERY COOL!!!! hehehehe~ YOU HAVE ROCKED THE HOUSE! BIG HUGS

  4. Mike,I remember \”One Toke Over the Line\” and \”Venus\” many years after they released. The late 60s I was a bit too young to pay a lot attention to mewsic.I guess the reason I know these is because they climbed the top of the chart and remain favorable oldies. Thanks for sharing your high school year one-hit wonders! Thanks for joining the 4M gang on the dance floor.

  5. I was a year ahead of you in high school, and know all of these songs. WABC in New York City (where I grew up) did play the Amboy Dukes, and I LOVED that song. But I was able to get CKLW on certain nights, and I have such fond memories of that station, too. CKLW The Motor City! Alana
