D-Day

 D-Day 69 years ago the largest airborne and beach assault in our history took place. The ocean were these brave warriors came ashore under a hail of gunfire turned red because of the blood they spilled. If you know a WW2 Veteran please offer him your hand and thank him for his sacrafice and heroism. Because what they did was not just for us but the world. Read about it  HERE and HERE

  1. My uncle was there. He was a gentle man who did not talk about what he saw. It must have been terrible.

  2. Syd,Mt Late father in law saw action in Africa and at Anzio,he did not talk about his experiences as well.I do know that he went through hell,and suffered from that.

  3. My father wasn't there, but he was elsewhere that day. He came home and many didn't.Have a terrific day Mike. 🙂

  4. Sandee,I thank him for his service,my dad was not there as well. he did end up serving in Bombers in the Pacfic.
