After almost 70 years, and on his 98th birthday, Sgt. Virgil Wallace, a survivor of the Battan Death March, has been awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives just so others may get to enjoy freedom.  For that I am proud to call them Hero.
