Jack LaLanne (September 26, 1914 – January 23, 2011) was an American fitness, exercise, nutritional expert, and motivational speaker who had been called “the godfather of fitness”.[1][2] He published numerous books on fitness and hosted a fitness television show between 1951 and 1985. He had four children.
LaLanne gained recognition for his success as a bodybuilder, as well as his prodigious feats of strength. He was inducted to the California Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
He was an American Icon! He lived a good long life.

My mom used to watch his program. I actually met him once on a plane to New York. He seemed like a nice man.

I would catch his show when I was young sometimes when I was home sick.
He did live a long life. Healthy and fit.
I saw this on the news last night. What a great encourager he was for all ages, including those of us boomers and seniors, to get active and stay active! He was definitely a blessing to many of us. 🙂
