Regardless of who does this song, it’s a great song. I liked The Four Lads’ version better, mainly because I’m more familiar with it, but I like the slower pace.
John holton,both are great and whoever does it it is a great tune.
They Might Be Giants. Their version made it sound more like a parody song or like something Ray Stsvens would have done, it made me smile.
The first version of this song I ever heard was the one by They Might Be Giants and I loved it. I thought it was an original until I heard other older versions of the song. The Four Lads do a great version, but Giants have such a cool arrangement (love the violin!).
My vote has to go to They Might Be Giants.

At first I couldn’t put my finger on the song this one reminds me of and then it hit me. The melody makes me of “Puttin’ On The Ritz”. 🙂 I think I prefer the original artist to the modern sound. Please give my vote to THE FOUR LADS! Thanks for stopping by to vote in my current BOTB, my friend!
