My Veterans Day Salute

Found in my travels, this sums up my service. We came from different walks of life; different corners of the country, even the world. They threw us together and told us to learn to trust each other, to teach each other and to learn from each other. We grew in experience and rank. There were days we hated each other, our higher-ups and our younger troops and yes, our own service. But the next shift we were back it, doing our best. We laughed together, we cried together, we played together and we worked hard together. We didn’t make much, but a lot of times we pulled together and made the best of it. What we had was a camaraderie that few can experience. I look back on all the experiences and friends and wouldn’t change a thing. I want to wish all my brothers and sisters that have served or are still serving a wonderful Veteran’s Day and let us remember those that have given the fullest extent of their commitment to this country and to their services. Thanks for all the memories and you have made me a better person for having the honor of serving with you

I am proud that I raised my hand and took My Oath of Enlistment,as I am all my familt and friends!
